süslü bir “Caz Tatili” geçirdi.
Caz sevenler, caz ile ilk kez
tanışanlar, duayenler, genç
müzisyenler, farklı sesler
ve kültürler; kısaca “Caz iyi
bir şeydir” diyen herkes 24
günlük bir “Caz Tatili”ndeydi.
“Herkes için caz”ın hedeflendiği
festival, gelenlerin beklentilerini
karşılamakla kalmadı,
sunduklarıyla hafızalarda
rengârenk izler bıraktı.

Bursa spent a “Jazz Holiday”
with concerts sold-out weeks
before and activities that filled
up the halls every single time.
Jazz lovers, those who meet jazz
for the first time, connoisseurs,
young musicians, different voices
and cultures; in short all that
said, “Jazz is a wonderful thing”
were on a 24 day “Jazz Holiday”.
The festival targeting “Jazz for
All” not only met the expectations
of all but also left unforgettable
and colorful traces in their minds.
In addition to concerts, jazz
workshops were organized and
a festival stamp was printed. The
opening program of the festival
was made by connoisseur
Emin Fındıklıoğlu who soon
met with the audience again
during the following days of the
Jazz Holiday with his “+12”. The
stage later belonged to İbrahim
Maalouf. Sertab Erener was the
best surprise of the festival who
went on stage suddenly during
one of the concerts even though
it was not listed in the program.
“Jazz” break of Bursa
Ferit Odman Quartet, the quartet
of local Bursa artist Ferit Odman
took stage after the opening by
Emin Fındıkoğlu on January 29.
Jazz legends of Turkey Engin
Recepoğulları (saxophone),
Ercüment Orkut (piano) and
Kağan Yıldız (contrbass)
accompanied Odman during
the concert at the Nazım Hikmet
House of Culture. There was also
a surprise name at the concert
of Odman, one of the most
important drummers of Turkey.
