70’lü yıllardan bu yana devam
eden müzik festivalleriyle
dünyaca ünlü isimler Türkiye’ye
geldi. Türkiye’de caz adına
yaşanan en önemli gelişme ise
1985’te Emin Fındıkoğlu’nun
sanat yönetmenliğini üstlendiği
ilk caz festivaliydi. İstanbul’da
hareketlenme sağlayan bu
festival sayesinde farklı yerlerde
birçok caz kulübü açıldı. 2013’te
Batu Akyol’un yönetmenliğinde
ve 50 caz sanatçısının
desteğiyle “Türkiye’de Caz”
belgeseli çekildi.
Bugün caz konusunda
durum oldukça umut verici
görünüyor. Yerli ve yabancı
caz duayenlerinin, caz
tarihine derin izler bırakmış
olan isimlerin önderliğinde
festivaller düzenleniyor; caz
kulüpleri açılıyor. Caza gönül
veren genç müzisyenlerin ve
caz severlerin sayısı her geçen
gün artıyor. Amerika’nın pamuk
tarlalarında başlayan müzik,
onlarca yılı, kilometrelerce yolu
aşıp Bursa’ya kadar geldiği
gibi dünya döndükçe varlığını
sürdürmeye devam edecek gibi
görünüyor.
with regard to jazz was the first
jazz festival organized in 1985,
the art directorship of which was
undertaken by Emin Findiklioglu.
Many jazz clubs opened at
different locations as a result of
that festival which enabled the
start of a movement in Istanbul.
In 2013, the documentary entitled
“Jazz in Turkey” directed by Batu
Akyol was shot with the support
of 50 jazz artists. Today, there are
many promising developments
regarding jazz. Festivals are
being organized and jazz clubs
are being opened under the
leadership of local and foreign
jazz connoisseurs with names
who have left deep marks in the
history of jazz. The number of
jazz lover young musicians and
jazz lovers is increasing day by
day. It seems that the music that
was born in the cotton fields of
America will continue to exist
for as long as the world turns
seeing that it reached Bursa after
dozens of years and miles upon
miles of roads.
