doğmuş bir müzik tüm dünyaya
haykırılan özgürlük mesajları
taşıyordu. Köleliğin özgürlük
düşlerini anlatıyor, var olma
çabalarını notalara döküyordu.
Acıyı, neşeyi, umudu, sevgiyi,
aşkı… Bir insanın sahip
olabileceği tüm duyguları
barındırıyordu caz müziği.
Dinleyenleri birkaç saniye içinde
içine çekmeyi başarması ve
uzun süre insanı terk etmeyen
etkisinin nedeni de bu. 1950’li
ve 1960’lı yıllarda tarihindeki en
büyük dönüşümü yaşadı caz.
Genç cazcılar için bir arayış
dönemiydi bu dönem. O güne
dek devam eden ritmik yapısı
baştan aşağı değişti ve yepyeni
bir kimliğe büründü. Etkilediği

The music created by slaves
during times of slavery was
carrying messages of freedom
which were being shouted out
to the whole world. It was talking
about dreams of freedom of
slaves and put into notes their
efforts for existence. Pain, joy,
hope, affection, love… Jazz
music harbored all emotions that
one might experience. This was
also the reason of its success in
attracting the listeners in a few
seconds and of its effect that
holds on to one’s self for quite a
while. Jazz encountered its most
significant transformation during
the 1950s and 1960s. It was a
period of competition for young
jazz musicians. Its rhythmic
structure that continued until
that day changed completely
and it gained a completely new
identity. It started to be affected
from the music genres that
it had affected and to gain a
freedom that suits to freedom
