Bant Bilardo Dünya Kupası”nın
ilk ayağı için Bursa’da buluştu.
Hem Bursalılar hem de
turnuvayı takip etmek için
şehir dışından gelen bilardo
tutkunları, Merinos’taki Atatürk
Kongre Kültür Merkezi fuaye
alanında gerçekleştirilen
organizasyona yoğun ilgi
gösterdi.
Son 2 yıldır Türkiye Bilardo
Federasyonu başkanlığını
üstlenmiş olan Ersan Ercan bu
dünya çapında önem taşıyan
organizasyonun Bursa’ya geliş
hikâyesini anlattı. Ercan’ın
verdiği bilgiye göre, turnuvayı
Bursa’ya getiren başlıca neden
Türkiye Bilardo Federasyonu
Yönetim Kurulu üyelerinden
Zeki Çakal’ın Bursalı oluşu.
Zeki Çakal’ın önerisinin kabul
edilmesinin ardından Bursa
Büyükşehir Belediyesi’nin de
desteğini alan turnuvanın ilk
ayağının Bursa’da yapılması
kararlaştırılmış. 01 – 07 Şubat
2016 tarihleri arasında Bursa’da
ağırlanan turnuvada 18 farklı
ülkeden gelen 149 bilardo
şampiyonu buluştu. Türkiye
şampiyonları arasında ise

success and billiards lovers
got together in Bursa for the
first leg of the “3 Band Billiards
World Cup” consisting of a total
of 6 stages. Both the locals of
Bursa and those who came from
outside to city for the tournament
showed a lot of attention to the
organization that took place at
the Atatürk Congress and Culture
Center foyer area at Merions.
Ersan Ercan, the president of
the Turkish Billiards Federation
for the past 2 years told us the
story of how this world class
organization came to Bursa.
According to information
provided by Ercan, the main
reason why the tournament came
to Bursa is the fact that Zeki
Çakal, one of the executive board
members is from Bursa. After
the suggestion by Zeki Çakal
was accepted, the Federation
received support from the Bursa
Metropolitan Municipality as well
thus deciding to hold the first
leg of the tournament in Bursa.
The tournament was hosted in
Bursa during February 01 – 07,
2016 during which 149 billiards
champions from 18 different
countries came together. Semih
Saygıner, who said that he has
come to Bursa many times for
the famous hot baths since
his childhood along with latest
world cup champion Murat Naci
Çoklu and Tayfun Taşdemir were
among the champions of Turkey.
