söylencede yer almıyor.
Cumalıkızık’ın isminin nereden
geldiğine dair diğer bir rivayete
göre ise; Kızık köylerindeki
köylülerin eskiden Cuma
namazı için toplandığı yer
Cumalıkızık’tı. Bir başka
söylence de, Osman Bey’in
köyün kurulduğu günün cuma
günü olması sebebiyle bu köye
“Cumalıkızık” adını vermiş

amidst the sheer cliffs and
valleys to the north of Uludağ
were called “kızık” villages
because of their position. Among
these kızık villages, the one that
was by the river was known as
Derekızık, the one with a mill was
known as Değirmenlikızık and
the one with a Turkish bath was
known as Hamamlıkızık. The
village was named Cumalıkızık
because there was a mosque in
