Nothing has been
identified more with Bursa
than chestnut which has
been considered as a
“love elixir” since the
ancient ages. It was even
suggested that chestnut
extends people’s lives as
the only kebab that can
enter all homes. It left
everyone in awe with its
boiled and sweetened
versions. It was used as
a potent drug to protect
one’s self from the flu
during the winter months
thanks to its vitamin rich
structure.
Antik çağlardan bu
yana “aşk iksiri” olarak
anılan kestane kadar
hiçbir şey, Bursa ile bu
denli özdeşleşmedi.
Tüm evlere girebilen tek
kebap olan kestanenin
yaşamı uzattığı dahi öne
sürüldü. Haşlaması ve
şekeriyle kendine hayran
