sorunlara karşı duyarlı tavrıyla
tanınan sanatçı, 1982’de
Sinan Çetin’in yönettiği
Bir Günün Hikâyesi adlı
filmdeki rolüyle Antalya Film
Festivalinde “Altın Portakal En
İyi Kadın Oyuncu” ödülünü
aldı. 1989’da Uçurtmayı
Vurmasınlar filmindeki başarılı
kompozisyonu nedeniyle bir
kez daha “Altın Portakal”a layık
bulundu. Bunların yanında Dul
Bir Kadın, Derman, Ayna ve
Yılanların Öcü adlı filmlerde
oynayarak ününü pekiştirdi.
Türk sinemasının aranılan
kadın oyuncuları arasına girdi.
38. Antalya Film Festivali’nde,
En Başarılı Yardımcı Kadın
Oyuncu ödülüne değer
bulundu (2001). Bugüne
değin kırktan fazla filmde ve
televizyon dizilerinde oynadı.
İlk uluslararası çalışması 1984
yılındaki Ayna adlı film oldu.
Bu filmi 1991 yılında “En İyi
Yabancı Film” dalında Oskar
kazanan Umuda Yolculuk
(1990)’u, Dunkle Schatten der
Angst (1993) ve Yara (1998)
izledi. 2007’de İstanbul’da
gerçekleşen 1 Mayıs
kutlamalarına katılan sanatçı,
polis tarafından gözaltına
alındıktan bir gün sonra
serbest bırakıldı.
Ayşe ve Ece Ege
kardeşler
Bursa’da doğan Ayşe ve
Ece Ege’nin babası işadamı,
annesi ev kadınıydı. Ayşe Ege,
Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Turizm
ve Otelcilik Bölümü’nü bitirdi.
Ece Ege ise ortaokul ve lisede
kendi kendine mücevher

she was once again awarded
the “Golden Orange” with her
successful performance in the
movie Don’t Let Them Shoot the
Kite. She reinforced her fame
with her roles in the movies
entitled A Widower, Derman,
Mirror and The Revenge of the
Serpents. She became known
among the popular actresses in
Turkish cinema sector. She was
awarded the Best Supporting
Actress during the 38th Antalya
Film Festival (2001). She has
starred in over forty movies
and television series. Her first
international work was the movie
entitled Mirror in 1984. This
movie was followed by the movie
Journey of Hope (1990) that won
the “Best Foreign Movie” Oscar,
DunkleSchatten der Angst (1993)
and Scar (1998). In 2007, she
participated in the 1st of May
celebrations and was taken into
police custody but was released
one day later.
Ayşe and Ece Ege sisters
The father of Ayşe and Ece Ege
who were born in Bursa was a
businessman and their mother
was a housewife. Ayşe Ege
graduated from the Bosphorus
University Tourism and Hotel
Management Department.
Whereas Ece Ege decided to
be trained in Gemology after
continuing to make jewelry
designs throughout her
secondary and high
school education.
However, the school
she wanted to go to
was in America and her
family did not want to
send her. She received
fashion education
in Paris after high
school. Ece Ege did not
return to Turkey after
graduating from the
school in Paris to chase
her dreams of “creating
a fashion organization”.
She started working
by preparing her first
collection with a friend
of hers consisting only
of shirt designs. These
two friends became
very successful with
their first collection. Afterwards
the brand known as Dice Kayek
was established when Ayşe
Ege also joined the duo. Ayşe
and Ece Ege prepared their first
collection in 1992 and started
their Dice Kayek when they
launched a company in Paris
in 1994. The turning point for
the two sisters was during the
famous PAP Fair in Paris. They
had to showcase their collections
at a remote location in the fair
since they were not well known
but the famous retail store chains
and prestigious boutiques of
the world discovered Ayşe and
Ece Ege during that fair. Fashion
shows started after that and Dice
Kayek became one of the most
famous brands in the world.
In 2003, they prepared the stage
costumes for a play by Gertrude
Stein at Bobigny Theater. In the
same year they were given the
Femme en Or (Golden Woman)
award in France. They were
accepted into the DTM project
Turquality program which aimed
to increase the population of
Turkish brands abroad. In 2004
they prepared the costumes
of Uma Thurman for the movie
Prime. They made a consultancy
and distribution agreement with
MitsuiandCo which is one of
the largest trading companies
of Japan. In December
2010, they received the Most
Successful Woman (France Euro
Méditerranée) award during
a ceremony organized at the
France parliament building and
Ece expressed her happiness
with these words: “Now when
