Yaşadığı sürece yalnızca
sanatının değil asaletin,
zarafetin sembolü; sevginin,
aşkın tercümanı oldu Zeki
Müren… Müzikle geçen
ömründe sanat hayatına bir
güneş gibi doğdu; öyle bir
ışık saçtı ki öldükten sonra
bile parlamaya devam etti.
Şarkıları, yaşı onu tanımaya
yetmeyenlerin de dilinde, onun
sesiyle büyüyenlerin de…
Kendi deyimiyle “ne köşklerde,
ne sarayda, ne dünyada ne
de ayda” yaşadı o. Bazen
dertli gönüllerde bazen neşeli
anılarda ama her zaman
kalplerde ve “alkışlarla” yaşadı.
Çok çok uzaklara gittiğinde
bile aslında hep buralardaydı.
Dünya malının hiçbir önemi
yoktu onun gözünde. Bu
yüzden ölmeden önce tüm
mal varlığını, mirasını Türk
Eğitim Vakfı’na ve Türk Silahlı
Kuvvetleri Mehmetçik Vakfı’na
bağışlamıştı. 1996 yılındaki
ölümünün ardından Zeki
Müren’den geriye kalan her
şey, emanet ettiği tüm anılar 18
yıl boyunca sır gibi saklandı.
Geçen yıl İstanbul’da Müren’in
kendini anlattığı o meşhur
şarkısıyla aynı adı taşıyan bir
sergi açıldı. “Paşa”nın gelmiş
geçmiş tüm zamanlarını
gün yüzüne çıkaran sergi bu
yıl evine, Sanat Güneşi’nin
“hamurum burada” dediği
Bursa’ya geldi.
Throughout his life, Zeki Müren
was an epitome not only for
his art, but also for nobleness,
elegance, articulating love… In
a life full of music, he came up in
the art world like a sun and this
glamorous light survived him. His
songs are still in the limelight of
those who are too young to know
him and those who grew up with
his voice… In his own words, he
lived “neither in mansions, nor
in palaces, neither on the world,
nor on the moon”. Sometimes in
sorrowful souls and sometimes
in joyful memories; but he
always lived in hearts and with
“applauses”. He was always
here, even when he went far far
away. For him, earthly wealth
meant nothing. This is why, prior
to his demise, he donated all
his assets to Turkish Education
Foundation and Turkish Armed
Forces Mehmetçik Foundation.
Following his death in 1996,
every remaining thing from
Zeki Müren, as well as all his
memories, was kept under
wraps for 18 years. Last year, an
exhibition was held in Istanbul,
bearing the name of famous
song in which he tells about
himself. This year, the exhibition,
which unearths the entire life of
Pasha, finally arrives in Bursa,
the city of “his roots”.
The Sun of Art
shining at home…
The exhibition is the most
comprehensive work about
Zeki Müren so far, exceeding
far beyond all previous
documentaries and exhibitions.
It was opened in Istanbul on 18
November 2014 and drew great
interest. Later on, memories
of Zeki Müren met the public
in Ankara and Bodrum, before
stopping by in Izmir, where he
had his debut at the International
Fair. Now, the exhibition is
finally home and is open to visit
at Tofaş Museum of Cars and
Anatolian Carriages as of 12
November 2015. Bursa is the fifth
stop of the exhibition “Here I am:
Zeki Müren”. It will stay in Bursa
longer than in any other city and
welcome the guests until 19
February 2016. It took one year
for people of Bursa to meet this
exhibition, which has a longer
span than projected thanks to
enthusiasm and influx of visitors.
