Üstelik Berlin gibi iki büyük
Dünya Savaşı ve bölünmüşlük
yaşamış, derin bir tarihi
olan, Alman disipliniyle
harmanlanmış çok kültürlü
yapısıyla renkli, müzeleri,
bol alternatifli gece hayatı
ve eğlence sektörüyle çok
şey vaat eden bir şehirden.
Bu yüzden Berlin’i gezmek,
tadını çıkarmak, en azından
küçük çaplı keşfetmiş sayılmak
için minimum 3 - 4 güne
ihtiyacınız olacak. Benim
kendisini anlatmak için iki
sayılık alana ihtiyacım oldu
mesela. Gezilip görülecek çok
yer, kalabalık bir yapılacaklar

We are talking about a city with
a population of 3.5 million, the
capital of a country which is
sort of the leader of Europe,
Germany. Besides, we are
talking about Berlin which has
seen two world wars and has
gone through a division, with
a deep history, blended with
German discipline, is colorful
with its multicultural structure,
museums, has a diverse night
life and entertainment sector;
a city with a lot to offer. That is
why you will need at least 3-4
days to visit Berlin, to enjoy and
maybe sort of explore the city.
Even I needed two issues of
Dergibursa to narrate the city.
There is a lot to see, a long list
of things to do and considerable
amount of history to digest. Well,
it is your lucky day, because the
following paragraphs summarize
some parts of Berlin’s history. As
your type-e-tive writer, the piece
would be incomplete unless I
delved into the interesting and
intriguing recent history. So, here

2nd World War,
the Berlin Wall,
and the Cold War Years
Ok, when I say history,
apparently I did not mean I will go
all way the back to Middle Ages.
Our topic is the Second World
War (WW2) and its aftermath.
Berlin, the former capital of the
German Empire, was also the
capital of the Nazi Germany,
of Hitler. Mentioning Hitler, a
small footnote, even though you
will visit many museums and
historical places throughout your
trip, you will nearly never come
across that certain individual.
As I understand, this dictator,
who has only been a source
of shame for Europeans and
humans in general, and Germans
in specific, is trying to be erased
from our memories…
