90’lı yıllarda boğazımıza takılan bir yumru olmuştu Schindler’in Listesi filmi. 2. Dünya Savaşı sırasındaki Yahudi soykırımını, kendini Yahudileri kurtarmaya adamış Oscar Schindler’in gözünden anlatan film, uzun süre etkisi altında bırakan sahneleriyle sinema tarihine bir kült olarak geçmiş; siyah-beyaz filmdeki tek renk olan kırmızı paltolu bu küçük kız hafızalara kazınmıştı. “Tüm zamanların en iyi filmleri”nden biri olarak seçilen film gerçek bir hayat hikâyesinden esinlenilmiş, birçok dalda ödül almış ve çok konuşulmuştu. Küçük kız büyüdü, yaşananların ardından yıllar geçti ama film ve anlattığı vahşet hiçbir zaman unutulmadı.
The color of innocence amidst sadness
The movie Schindler’s List was a lump in our throats during the 90s. It depicted the Jewish genocide in the 2nd World War from the viewpoint of Oscar Schindler who had devoted himself to saving the Jews and quickly made history as a cult movie with its fascinating scenes that one could not easily overcome; this small girl with the red coat was the only color in the otherwise black and white movie and she was imprinted in our memories never to be forgotten. The movie selected as one of the “best movies of all-time” was inspired by a real story and it won awards in many categories thus becoming the center of attention. The small girl grew up, years passed over all those events but the movie and the atrocities depicted in the movie were never forgotten.
