Ne de olsa bugün hayatları filmlere, kitaplara konu olan “başarılı” olarak tarif ettiğimiz tüm insanlar yola çıkmadan aldığı kararlar, kendi yeteneklerine, bilgilerine, ilgilerine göre şekillendirilmiş plânlamalara ve belirledikleri doğru hedefler sayesinde amaçlarına ulaşabildiler. Belki siz de yılın yeniliğini fırsat bilip, yeni kararlara, yeni hedeflere uzanabilir ya da geçmişe bir göz atıp, kenarda köşede unuttuğunuz, yarım bıraktığınız umutları kaldıkları yerden devam ettirmeyi düşünebilirsiniz. Yılın başı sizin için yolun başı olur belki de. Yaptığınız şey tam olarak, insan aklının yettiği kadarıyla sonrasını düşünmek ve alabildiğiniz her türlü önlemi alıp olabildiği kadar hazır hissetmektir. Nereye gideceğinizden, nasıl gideceğinizden emin; yolda nelerle karşılaşacağınız konusunda tereddütlüsünüzdür. Ama bir şeyleri göze almaz, varmak istediğiniz yere gitmek için gerekli cesareti toplamazsanız asla yola çıkamayacağınızı da bilirsiniz. The “successful” people whose lives are made into movies or books were able to reach their goals only by the decisions they made, their abilities, knowledge and interests as well as the plans they made and the right targets they chose at the very beginning. You may also take advantage of the New Year to make new decisions and set new targets or go over the past to revive your long forgotten hopes and dreams. The New Year may be the start of a new road for you. The road at the end of which lies the light that will illuminate your whole life… Who knows? “If you do not think about the future you will never have one.” Henry Ford The preparation one makes before starting out on a road to realize your dreams is similar to packing up before a journey… You take with you everything you think you may need on the way or at your destination and then close your suitcase thinking that you may find whatever else you may need when you get to where you wish to go. What you do is actually thinking about the future to take the necessary precautions so that you feel as ready as possible. You are sure about where you will go and how you will go there; but are anxious about what you will face on the way. But you know that you will never start off if you do not take risks or muster up enough courage to take you where you wish to go. Why should you wait more to realize your dreams because of a few simple details that you cannot be sure of? It may be true that no success is a coincidence but one should be ready to take risks and pay their prices to reach true success. One can feel impatient when things start moving very slowly even at the beginning of the road.
