Böylelikle günümüzde varlığını koruyan yapıların geçmişi, fotoğraf ve resim sanatı birleştirilerek fotoğraf tamamlama uygulamasıyla anlatıldı. Hacer Elitok Topaloğlu ile Yıldız Baylav’ın hazırlamış olduğu konsept çizimler, Günay Topaloğlu’nun dijital çizim ve modelleme tekniği ile hazırladığı tamamlama çalışmasıyla günümüze uyarlandı. **** Apameia, kendi sikkelerini darp eden kentler arasında yerini almıştı. Sikkeler üzerinde kent lejantı olarak; Roma öncesinde “Apameôn Murleanôn”, Romalılardan sonra ise C.I.C.A (= Colonia Iulia Concordia Apamea) şeklinde yazı bulunmaktadır. Myrleia – Apameia kentine ait kalıntılar Ömerbey Mahallesi, Hisarlık mevkiinde yoğunlaşıyor. Eski Petrol Ofisi dolum tesisleri, AVM ve Pazar alanının bulunduğu bölgede antik kentin limanı yer alıyor. Myrleia/Apameia kenti, limandan başlayarak akropol bölümünün bulunduğu tepeye kadar yayılıyor. Mudanya’nın ilk kurulduğu yer olan 2 bin 700 yıllık Myrleia Antik Kenti, Bursa Müzeler Müdürlüğü başkanlığında yapılan sondaj kazıları sırasında ortaya çıkarıldı. Antik kentin yayıldığı alan günümüzde modern yerleşmenin tehdidi altında. Bölgede, antik limanın kıyısına büyük bir alışveriş merkezi inşaatı yapıldı. Yapılan kazı çalışmaları sırasında önemli tarihi bulgulara rastlanılmışsa da, antik kent kalıntıları AVM’nin altına hapsedildi. Myrleia –Apameia kentinin oturduğu alan ilk olarak Bursa Kültür ve Tabiat Varlıklarını Koruma Kurulu’nun 24.01.1992 tarih ve 2271 Sayılı kararı ile SİT kapsamına alındı. Uludağ Üniversitesi Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi Arkeoloji Bölüm Başkanı Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şahin, 2010 yılında kentin yayıldığı alanı belirlemeye yönelik yüzey araştırması yapmış ve mevcut SİT alanının antik limana kadar genişlemesi yönünde bir rapor hazırlayarak Bursa Kültür Varlıklarını Koruma Bölge Kurulu’na sunmuştur. Alışveriş merkezinin yapıldığı alanda Bursa Müze Müdürlüğü uzmanları tarafından yapılan kurtarma kazılarında, basına yansıyan ve Prof. Dr. Gülgün Köroğlu, Yrd. Doç. Dr. H. Murat Özgen ve Yrd. Doç. Dr. Teoman Tekkökoğlu’nun 01.11.2012 tarihli bilirkişi inceleme raporunda yer alan fotoğraflardan anlaşıldığı kadarı ile erzak depoları, mermerden inşa edilmiş mekanlar ve caddeler açığa çıkmıştır. Myrleia’ya ait bugüne kadar açığa çıkan en iyi yapı kompleksi, AVM’nin hafriyat çalışmaları esnasında bulunmuştur. The city legend on the coins was at first “Apameôn Murleanôn” during the pre-Roman period, followed by C.I.C.A (= Colonia Iulia Concordia Apamea) during the post-Roman period. The remains of the city of Myrleia – Apameia are concentrated more around the Ömerbey Quarter, Hisarlık district. The harbor of the ancient city is in the region where the Old Petrol Ofisi flling facilities, AVM and Marketplace are located. Starting from the harbor, the city of Myrleia/ Apameia spreads out up to the hill where a section of the acropolis is located. The 2 thousand 700 year old Ancient City of Myrleia, the founding location of Mudanya, was unearthed during the excavations by the Bursa Directorate of Museums. The location where the ancient city has spread out upon is now under the threat of modern settlement. A large shopping mall has been built along the coast of the ancient harbor in the region. Even though important historical findings were unearthed during the excavations in the region, the remains of the ancient city have now been trapped under the shopping mall. The area that the city of Myrleia –Apameia sits on was first taken under protection as an archaelogocial site following the decree by the Bursa Cultural and Natural Heritage Preservation Board dated 24.01.1992 and numbered 2271. Uludağ University Faculty of Science Department of Archaeology Head Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şahin carried out a surface study in 2010 for determining the area that the city spreads out on after which he prepared a report for the Bursa Cultural and Natural Heritage Preservation Board indicating that the current archaeological protection site should expand all the way to the ancient harbor. As can be understood from the photos included in the expert examination report by Prof. Dr. Gülgün Köroğlu, Assoc. Prof. H. Murat Özgen and Assoc. Prof. Teoman Tekkökoğlu dated 01.11.2012 which was reported in the press when the excavations by the experts of Bursa Directorate of Museums at the shopping mall site were ongoing, warehouses for provisions, marble structures and streets have been unearthed. The best structure complex of Myrleia until now was discovered during the excavation work carried out for the shopping mall.
