Bu sakilerin güzelliğinden ve bellerindeki Bursa’nın kırk kalem işlemeli peştamallarından da övgüyle söz eder. Evliya Çelebi’nin izlerinden yazılan kitap 2009 yılı sonbaharında 6 arkadaş düştüler yola. Evliya Çelebi’nin silinmeyen izlerini takip ederek, onun rotasına sadık kalarak ilerlediler. Seyahatname’sindeki Hac yolunu adım adım izlediler. Evliya Çelebi rehberliğindeki seyahatlerini kitaplaştırıp Bursa’nın soyut mirasında yer alan Evliya Çelebi güzergâhına kılavuz yaptılar. Bu kılavuzun ışığıyla Evliya Çelebi’nin geçtiği yollar, bıraktığı izler pusulalarla değil tabelalarla takip edilebilir hale geldi. Evliya Çelebi’nin yolu, 1671 yılında çıktığı Hac yolculuğunda da Bursa’dan geçti. Osmanlı tarihçileri onun Hac yolunda bıraktığı bu izleri takip ederek, ilk turu at üzerinde tamamladılar. Evliya Çelebi’nin 400 yaşına girdiği ve UNESCO tarafından Evliya Çelebi Yılı olarak kabul edilen 2011’de ise “Evliya Çelebi Yolu” adlı kitap yayın haline getirildi. Yolu yürüyerek, at ya da bisikletle geçmek isteyenlere rehber olan kitap, UNESCO Türkiye Milli Komitesi’nce “The Evliya Celebi Way” adıyla İngilizce olarak da yayınlandı. Indeed, the sheep graze on Mount Keşiş which are slaughtered without facing the hardships of being moved around. Kirde kabab is very famous due to its fresh meat. One with tahini and the white-musk scented halva… Among the many drinks, the water of life from Pınarbaşı, life instilling waters from 17 different springs, different compotes, colorful sherbet, sumptuous Yemen coffee, strained boza, Handan bey sherbet, Tirelioğlu sherbet, Karanfilli sherbet and Sücahoğlu sherbet…” After stating these on Bursa cuisine, Evliya Çelebi has also mentioned the fruits and vegetables separately… He has also included in his notes that the Bursa pear, many juicy grapes, apricot, cherry and mulberry are very famous and that its chestnuts are unmatched… Coffeehouses and boza houses of Bursa... Evliya Çelebi also praises the coffeehouses of Bursa. Mentioning that these coffeehouses are also locations of knowledge. In addition to the coffeehouses, he also talks about the 97 boza houses indicating that “they cannot be found anywhere else on earth”. It is saddening that there are no boza houses left in Bursa. There were fine and sweet boza servers in addition to musicians in the basements of these boza houses depicted as such: “there are boza houses adorned with tiles and masonry sofas which can serve a thousand men each with fine boza to drink in the cellars during the month of July. He also praises the beauty of these servers as well as their embroidered loincloths. The book following the traces of Evliya Çelebi Six friends hit the road in the fall of 2009. They followed the traces of Evliya Çelebi and remained true to his route. They followed the Pilgrimage route in the Book of Travels step by step. They published their travels under the guidance of Evliya Çelebi leading the way towards the Evliya Çelebi route included as part of the intangible heritage of Bursa. Thus, the route that Evliya Çelebi followed and the traces he left behind can now be followed not by way of compasses but by way of signposts. Evliya Çelebi passed through Bursa in the year 1671 during his pilgrimage. Ottoman historians followed his traces and completed the first round on horseback. “Evliya Çelebi Way” was published in 2011, marked by UNESCO as the Year of Evliya Çelebi to mark the 400th anniversary of his birth. The book that led the way to those who want to complete the route either on foot, on horseback or by bike was also published in English by UNESCO Turkey National Committee as “The Evliya Celebi Way”. The leader of the research, Dr. Caroline Finkel and her team are of the opinion that they can have a better understanding of the past by reenacting the paths that Evliya Çelebi, known as one of the greatest Ottomans traversed. They state that travelling in his footsteps will enable us to visit a completely different and calmer world than our own even if for a brief period of time.
