Following the successful first edition, the 2nd Bursa Photography Contest is getting ready with the process starting on
1 April 2016 for another visual feast. Applications can be made for free exclusively via

com.tr. This year’s title is “Bursa in focus”. Application deadline is April 27.
İlki Bursa’ya görsel bir şölen yaşatan ve bu yıl ikincisi düzenlenen
Bursa Fotoğraf Yarışması 1 Nisan 2016 tarihi itibarıyla tekrar başlıyor.
Başvurular sadece

ücretsiz olarak yapılabilecek. Yarışmanın konu başlığı “Odak noktası
Bursa...” Son katılım tarihi ise 27 Nisan 2016.
İlki “Bursa Değerlerinden
İzler” temasıyla yapılan Bursa
Fotoğraf Yarışması, bu yıl yine
Bursa’yı anlatacak. Bursa
fotoğraf camiasını, kamu
kuruluşlarını ve Bursa’nın önde
gelen markalarını bir araya
getiren bu yarışma, Photo
Graphica’nın organizasyonu
ile ikinci kez düzenleniyor.
Bursa’nın değerlerine dikkat
çeken ve fotoğraf sanatı için
bir kazanç niteliği taşıyan
ilk yarışmada 26 farklı ilden
445 fotoğrafçı, 1482 fotoğrafı
ile yarışmıştı. Geniş katılımlı
bir ödül töreni ve söyleşi
ile ses getiren yarışmada
dereceye giren fotoğraflar,
Bursa’nın farklı noktalarında
yüksek kalite baskılı sergilerle
fotoğrafseverlerin beğenisine
sunulmuştu.
Bursa’nın tarihi ve turistik
değerlerine katkıda bulunacak
yarışmanın bu yılki seçici
kurulunda; fotoğraf sanatçıları
Fatih Özenbaş, Özgür Çakır,
Aykut Güngör, Demet Argun
ve Engin Çakır bulunuyor.
JPEG formatında, çerçevesiz
ve boşluksuz şekilde
gönderilecek olan fotoğraflar,
jüri tarafından, yarışma
temasına uygunluk, yaratıcılık,
anlatım gücü ve teknik kriterlere
göre değerlendirilecek.

“Bursa Fotoğraf Yarışması”
fotoğraf alanında çalışmalar
yapan her yaştan her sektörden
fotoğraf sevdalılarına, kendilerini
ve işlerini tanıtabilecekleri bir
imkân sunarken; kentin marka
değerini de fotoğrafçılık sanatı
aracılığı ile ulusal platformda
tanıtmayı hedefliyor. “Odak
Noktası Bursa” isimli yarışmanın
konusu ise şu şekilde:
Peşine düştüğümüz Bursa’nın
ışıkları... O kadar çok aktörümüz
var ki, şanslıyız. Zaten farkında
değiliz, bize göre ışık saçan her
şey zaten Bursa’nın ta kendisi...
Akşamüstü Tophane’de
manzara izleyelim ya da
Bakacak’tan bakalım şehre.
Lunapark’a gidelim. Gece Fatih
Sultan Mehmet Bulvarı’nda
alalım soluğu. Gecenin geç
saatlerine kadar ışığın peşinde
koşalım. Sabahın ilk ışıklarında
700 yıllık Cumalıkızık’ta olalım.
Güneş her yeri sarmış olsun.
Akşamüstü Uluabat misafir
etsin bizi. Gölyazı’daki eşsiz
günbatımında, Ağlayan Çınar’ın
kucağında günü uğurlayalım.
Leyleklerin memleketi Eski
Karaağaç da olabilir rotamızda.
Leylekleri takip eder tarihi
Tirilye’de bir yorgunluk kahvesi
içeriz. Bir pazar sabahı İnkaya
Çınarı, altı asırlık kucağını açsın
bize, ulu dallarının gölgesinde
kahvaltı yapalım. Bir akşamüstü
Kapalı Çarşı’ya gitsek ya.
Kozahan’da dinlenir, çay içeriz
akşamüstü serinliğinde. Yeşil
Türbe’yi ziyaret edip, bir çay da
Yeşil’de içeriz. Ulu Cami’deki
ilahi ışığı görme şansımız da var.
Kayhan’da pideli köfte mi yemeli
yoksa Bursa Kebabı mı gün son

The first edition of Bursa
Photography Contest was
based on “Traces from Riches
of Bursa”. This year, the contest
will once again focus on Bursa.
The organization brings together
photography circles in Bursa,
as well as public institutions
and prominent brands in the
city, under the sponsorship of
Photo Graphica. The first-ever
contest drawing attention on the
treasures of Bursa attracted 445
photographers from 26 cities
with 1482 photos, and became
a true success for the art of
photography in the country. The
award ceremony with broad
participation and interviews that
followed created huge interest.
The ranking photographs were
exhibited in high-resolution
printing at various spots in
galleries all around Bursa.
This year, the contest seeks to
contribute to the historical and
touristic assets of Bursa. The
jury comprises of photographers
Fatih Özenbaş, Özgür Çakır,
Aykut Güngör, Demet Argun and
Engin Çakır. The photographs
can be sent in JPEG format,
without frame or space. The
jury will evaluate candidates
in terms of compliance with
theme, creativity, power of
expression and technical criteria.

sectors to introduce themselves
and their works; besides, it aims
to introduce the brand value
of Bursa via photography. The
theme of “Bursa in Focus” is as
follows:
We seek lights of Bursa… How
lucky we are to have so many
actors. In fact, we are unaware
of this; anything, which shines, is
Bursa itself to us...
Imagine watching the scenery
from Tophane in nightfall or
overlooking the city at Bakacak.
Or let’s go to Funfair. Stop by
Fatih Sultan Mehmet Avenue at
night. Let’s run after the light until
early morning, before arriving
in 700 year-old Cumalıkızık.
Imagine how the sun embraces
everywhere. Or, Uluabat may
host us towards the evening.
See off the day within the arms
of the Weeping Plane in face
of peerless sunset in Gölyazı.
Destination may also include Eski
Karaağaç, the home of storks.
Then, we may follow storks and
have a coffee break in Tirilye.
A Sunday morning, under the
branches of 600 year-old İnkaya
Plane, we might have breakfast.
Or even, let’s visit Kapalı Çarşı
in late afternoon. We may take
a break in Kozahan, and have a
glass of tea in the fresh air. We
can visit the Green Tomb and get
another tea at Yeşil. We might
also see the divine light at Grand
Mosque. At the end of the day,
we may eat meatballs with pita or
Bursa kebab.
Is there anyone who have yet
to explore the Milky Way at the
pulpit of Grand Mosque? Anyone
yet to depart from Mudanya
pier for glittering sea? Is there
anyone who have not watched
the beaming whirling dervishes
at Karabaş-i Veli Cultural Centre?
Haven’t you ever gone up Uludağ
in cable car? Is there anyone
who has yet to have a meal in
plates of Iznik pottery? Haven’t
you ever set your watch looking
at Yenişehir clock tower? Have
you not seen Oylat Cave? Is
there anyone, indeed, who have
yet to listen to bands in Arap
