Selahattin’in Yeşilçam’ın
bilinen tek set amiri olma
özelliği dışında bir özelliği
de filmlerde kullanılan ilk sis
makinesinin, fünyenin, kendi
imkânları dahilinde yaptığı
jimmy jip’in ve daha birçok
teknik malzemenin de sektörde
kullanılmasını sağlayan kişi
olmasıydı. Yeşilçam’ın arka
plandaki diğer kahramanları
olan dublaj sanatçıları da hatırı
sayılır rekorlara imza attılar.

Karacaoğlu, Abdurrahman
Palay gibi isimlerin aralarında
bulunduğu değerli seslerin
yanı sıra filmlerde oyuncuların
söylediği şarkıları seslendiren
gizli kahramanlardan biri de
Belkıs Özener’di. Yıllarca
Türkan Şoray’dan, Filiz
Akın’dan, Hülya Koçyiğit’ten
ve daha birçok sanatçıdan

Kaptan was admired with his role
in this movie thus becoming a
familiar figure. “Leblebici Horhor”
was adapted to cinema for the
second time in 1934 again by
Muhsin Ertuğrul which received
wide acclaim by winning the first
international award in Turkish
cinema. The movie entitled,
“Bataklı Damın Kızı Aysel” was
shot in Bursa and was the first
village movie in Turkish cinema
starring the “first star actress”
Cahide Sonku. The first national
competition was organized in
1948 by the National Movie
“No, can’t be...”, “You are as insolent as you
are beautiful…”, “Your mother was an angel my
child…”, “Mister, can I call you daddy?”, “You can
own my body but you can never own my soul...”
