Every song is more meaningful
and everything around is more
colorful. Maybe you are also one
of those who fall in love every
spring. Maybe you believe that
the real love you are sure to find
one day will come and find you.
Maybe it will do so this spring,
who knows? Those who have
surrendered themselves to the
hustle and bustle of daily life and
their work realize that spring has
come only when in the morning
they hang their jackets and
sweaters and at night when they
have to carry it in their hands.
Spring also has effects that
are believed to be bad. Some
are affected by “spring fatigue”
which does not affect those who
are not obsessed with ascribing
negative meanings or syndromes
to certain things. But actually
spring brings with it everything
that is necessary to overcome its
negative effects. Walks through
an ever greening nature, fruits
and vegetables of the season,
the fresh air that refreshes one’s
self with each breath taken…
Old uncles, aunts take fancy to
the warmth of the sun they see
from their windows and find
themselves at the nearest park.
Small girls make ear rings out
of cherries when spring arrives.
Plums bud on their branches.
Every tone of yellow, red, green
and cercis… Gardens are
colored up with the brush strokes
of “Mother Earth”. The warm
weather suddenly becomes a
symbol of freedom. Kites start
competing in the sky. Those who
have locked themselves up all
winter due to the cold weather
now go out with the coming
spring.
Spring brings with it the weather
that has destroyed Orhan Veli.
It is in such weather that one
falls in love and maybe even
writes poems like him. The
season hides some laziness and
sassiness within it. Now it is time
to smile for no reason. Spring is
the most colorful reason for the
smile on our faces, the warmth in
our hearts and the hope for the
future making us wish every time
“that it never ends”.
