Though not as fast as the speed of sound, thanks to you, our faithful readers we are moving fast. I guess it would not
be wrong if I say “oh the things you have heard in the past issues”… Bursa, we are calling out to you once more “not
as a magazine that makes sound, but listens”. With risk of sounding like a cliché, the thousands of words we whisper
in your ear, will echo in eternity. Because whether you read it silently or out loud, every word you read rings in our
ears.
Ses hızına çıkamasak da sayenizde hızımızı aldık gidiyoruz. Geride kalan 16 sayıda -neler duydunuz neler-
desem çok da yanlış olmaz hani... “Ses çıkartan değil, kulak veren bir dergi” olarak yine size sesleniyoruz
Bursa. Kulağınıza eğilip fısıldadığımız binlerce kelime artık –belki klasik olacak ama- evrende birer seda şimdi.
Çünkü içinizden ya da yüksek sesle okumanız bize yetiyor. Okuduğunuz her kelimede, sesiniz kulağımızda
çınlıyor.

A Soundterious issue
Yazımın girişinden de
sezinlenebileceği gibi
elinizdeki 17. sayımızın teması:
“SES...” Bu zamana kadar size
kendimizi göstermek için çok
fazla ses çıkarmadık. Hani
öyle “billboardlara” çıkıp da
“Bursa’nın en çok okunan
dergisi”, “bizi takip edin” filan
demedik. Ama sanıyorum
“okunan dergi” denince
aklınıza gelen “dergi” olduk.
Sesi ayyuka çıkan o kadar
çok yayının aksine sessiz
sessiz yol almayı tercih ettik.
Olabildiğince çok adrese ve
kişiye ulaşmak için çabalayıp,
sessizce yazdığımız yazıların
kendi çığlıklarını oluşturacağını
düşündük, sadece “dergi”
dağıttık. Tüyap fuarları, AVM
çalışmaları ve uçurtma şenliği
ile size ulaşmaya çalıştık.
Arşivlemek isteyenler için
bayilerde 7 TL karşılığında
satışta olan dergimizi
“internette ücretsiz e-dergi
olarak” yayınladık. Amacımız
hep daha çok kişiye ulaşmaktı.
Yetmedi otel odalarında
aldık soluğu. Doktor
muayenehanelerinde sehpada
buldunuz bizi. Kafelerde ya da
restoranlarda size eşlik ettik.
Farklı sektörden birçok dağıtım
alanına ulaşmaya çalıştık.
Kalabalığın olduğu her yerde
biz de sesimizi size sessizce
duyurmak için çabaladık.
Sosyal medyada Facebook
ve Twitter aracılığıyla size
kendimizi hatırlattık. Dağıtım
ağımız üzerinde titizlikle
çalıştık. Sesimizi fazlasıyla
yükseltip beylik laflar edip
ortalıklarda dolanmadık.
Sesimizi yükselteceğimiz
yerlerde bile, sesimizi kısıp
sakince sizi dinlemeyi
tercih ettik. Sizden gelen
tüm önerilere, eleştirilere ve
değerlendirmelere kulak verdik.
Ses getiren sayılarımız da
oldu, yine de çok ses etmedik
piyasaya.
Geride bıraktığımız 16
sayımızda biz kendimizi
hep sizden dinledik, daha
da önemlisi sizi dinledik.
Tanıştığımız günden beri bu
durum hiç değişmedi. Yine
kulağımız sizde. Yüzlerce
eposta gönderdiniz, aradınız
sordunuz hatta birkaçınız
mektup bile gönderdiniz.
As you might deduce from
the introduction of editorial,
the theme for the 17th issue
is “SOUND…” We have not
never been too loud, hanging
posters on billboards, claiming
to be the “most read magazine
in Bursa”, asking you to “keep
following us” etc. But then again,
I believe we managed to be “the”
magazine to “read”. We preferred
to walk silently against all those
other magazines creating a
commotion. We tried to reach as
many people and address as we
could, thinking our silent pieces
will generate their own screams;
we distributed just “magazines”.
We reached you through the
TÜYAP book fairs, the stands at
malls, and the kite festival. For
the people who want to save a
printed copy, the magazine has
been in the newsstands for 7
liras but we have been published
as an e-magazine, for free. All
we wanted was to reach more
people. We got into the hotel
rooms, we were on the coffee
table in your doctor’s office. You
browsed through our pages at
cafes and restaurants. We aimed
for a wider range of distribution.
We went where the crowd was,
silently. You were able to follow
us on Facebook or Twitter. We
worked meticulously on our
distribution network. We were
never just a noise with empty
promises. We preferred to listen,
not raise our voice; listened to
every piece of criticism, review,
and comment you made. We
were talked about but we were
not the ones doing the talking...
In the past 16 issues, we listened
to ourselves from your words,
more importantly we listened
to you. This has always been
the case from our very first day.
We are still listening. You have
sent us hundreds of e-mails,
you called and wrote actual
letters. You have archived all our
issues starting with the first one
and I would like confess even
we do not have many copies in
our storage. You valued us and
included us in your personal
libraries. We hear you Bursa,

In this issue we prepared without
the concern of making a loud
bang (!), you can read about
“The Golden Voiced Müzeyyen
Senar” of Bursa, for whom we are
thankful for. Waterfalls, with their
peaceful sounds, has created
another subject for this issue;
the first one being the exquisite
natural wonder of Bursa, the
Suuçtu Falls, the second one,
a glimpse of heaven, Kurshunlu
falls from Antalya, and finally, the
