Bursa’da, 2014’ten beri kentin 8.500 yıllık tarihini gözler önüne seren bir yer var. Bursa Göç Tarihi Müzesi; içeriğiyle ziyaretçilerini zaman yolculuğuna çıkarırken düzenlediği çeşitli etkinliklerle de kenti ve tarihini renklendiriyor.
“Göç şehri” olarak anılan, yüzlerce yıldır farklı kültürleri harmanlayan Bursa’da bir göç müzesi açılması kararı alınmasının hemen ardından hummalı bir çalışma başladı. Dört yıl önce başlayan çalışmalar kapsamında arşivler tarandı, göç etmiş ailelerin kapıları tek tek çalındı, üniversitelerin desteği alındı, alanlarında uzman kişiler ile görüşüldü. Bir yıl gibi kısa bir sürede tamamlanan çalışmalar Bursa’nın 8,500 yıl öncesinden başlayıp bugüne uzanan bir zaman tünelinde toplandı: Bursa Göç Tarihi Müzesi’nde…
İçeriği; 8 bin 500 yıl önce Akçalar, 7 bin 500 yıl önce Ulupınar ve 8000’li yıllardaki Yenişehir bölgelerine yapılan göçler esas alınarak hazırlanan müzedeki bölümler kronolojik tarihe göre düzenlendi. Tarih öncesi ve ilkçağ Bursa yerleşimlerinden Bursa’nın kuruluşuna; Bursa’nın fethinden mübadele dönemine kadar her dönemin yansıtıldığı müzede son dönem Balkanlardan ve Kafkaslardan yaşanan göçlere de yer verildi. Müzede ayrıca göçlerin Bursa’ya kazandırdıkları ve bugünkü Bursa’nın anlatımı üzerinde de duruldu.
Bursa Göç Tarihi Müzesi’nin tohumları; kente Osmanlı topraklarından göç ile gelenleri, yaşamlarını nesiller boyunca Bursa’da sürdüren göçmenleri ve kente olan katkılarını vurgulama fikri ile atıldı. Sahip olduğu müzelerle uluslararası çapta dikkat çeken Bursa’nın 2014’te kavuştuğu Göç Tarihi Müzesi’nde kullanılan koleksiyonların çoğu Şinasi Çelikkol tarafından temin edildi. Müzenin mimarisinden küratörlüğüne, uygulamasından planlamasına her şey Bursa’da yapıldı.
Bursa’nın, Bursalıların tarihini anlatan müzede etkin olarak kullanılan geçici sergi salonları da bulunuyor. Osmanlı Sanatı Sergisi, Piyano Resitali, sempozyumlar gibi bugüne dek birçok etkinliğe ev sahipliği yapan bu salonlarda birbirinden farklı alanda organizasyonlar gerçekleştirilmeye devam ediyor. Hatta bu yıl 18 Aralık Dünya Göçmenler Günü sebebiyle göç kavramını, insanlar üzerindeki etkilerini ön plana çıkartmak adına bir de resim yarışması düzenleniyor. Ulusal olarak ve “Göç ve Empati” adıyla ilkokul, ortaokul ve liseler arası düzenlenen yarışma göçün hem olumlu hem de olumsuz yönlerini ortaya çıkartmayı hedefliyor.

There is a place in Bursa that has been displaying the 8.500 year history of the city since 2014. Bursa History of Migration Museum takes its visitors on a journey in time with its content, while enlivening the city and its history with various activities.
Feverish activities started in Bursa, known as the “city of migration”, after a decision was made to open a museum of migration in the city where different cultures have been coalescing for centuries. The activities that started four years earlier encompassed the scanning of archives, meeting the migrant families one by one, taking support from universities and carrying out interviews with experts in the field. The activities that were completed in less than a year were compiled in a tunnel of time that collects the 8,500 year history of Bursa in one place: at the Bursa History of Migration Museum…
The sections that were prepared as based on the migrations that took place 8 thousand 500 years ago to Akçalar, 7 thousand 500 years ago to Ulupınar and 8000 years ago to Yenişehir have been arranged in chronological order. The museum reflects al periods from pre-historic and primeval era settlements in Bursa to the foundation of the city; from the conquest of Bursa to the population exchange period also encompasses the migrations from the Balkans and Caucasia. The museum also emphasizes how Bursa enriched itself with migrations in addition to the depiction of today’s Bursa.
The seeds of the Bursa History of Migration Museum were first planted with the idea of emphasizing the contributions made to these lands by those who migrated to the Ottoman lands in addition to the countless immigrants who have been living in Bursa for generations. Majority of the collections used in the History of Migration Museum which was opened in 2014 in Bursa which has been attracting attention internationally with its museums were provided by Şinasi Çelikkol. Everything from the architecture of the museum to its curation, from its planning to application were carried out in Bursa.
The museum that depicts the history of Bursa and the locals of Bursa also has temporary exhibition halls that are used effectively. Different organizations are being carried out in these halls that have housed Ottoman Art Exhibition, Piano Recital and symposiums until today. Indeed, a painting competition is being organized this year for emphasizing the concept of migration and its effects on people on the grounds of 18th of December World Immigrants Day. The competition entitled “Migration and Empathy” organized at primary, secondary and high school levels nationally aims to put forth both the positive and negative aspects of migration.
